Chapter 35 Intelligence Gap
Chapter 35 Intelligence Gap
In the ensuing melee, the Rudra clan suffered heavy losses in less than half an hour, with only two guild leaders and two LV.2 adventurers barely clinging to life.
The entrance was blown up!
Their only chance of survival was to escape to the safe floor on the eighteenth floor.
Roy knew this too, so he had more than twenty Immaculate Giants guard the lower stairwell, completely blocking it and inadvertently providing cover for the Heretics.
The elven girl was covered in blood—not her own, of course, but the blood of the dead.
She vented all her anger on these people. Although most of the Rudra Familia members were killed by Venom and the Immaculate Giant, she also killed more than twenty people, including some LV.2 executives.
Deep within those sharp eyes burned a fierce fire of revenge as they stared at the remaining people.
Upon closer inspection, the remaining four members of the Rudra clan were also in poor condition, their physical and mental strength nearing their limits, and they were also gripped by a fear of death.
Back to back, they fought against the Immaculate Giants, zombies, and dungeon monsters. Ironically, the Dark Familia, who never trusted their companions, had to turn their backs to others at this critical moment.
Roy emerged from the mist, always protected by five Immaculate Giants who helped him clear away approaching zombies and dungeon monsters.
Upon seeing him, the four members of the Rudra clan turned cold and filled with murderous intent.
New type of monster, poison gas, the entrance was blown up...
As the saying goes, your enemies know you best. They know that such a meticulous and insidious plan could not have been devised by the single-minded elf "Wind". So, only this boy is left.
"You're a force to be reckoned with. I never thought we'd be defeated by a mere brat. If we manage to escape, I'll hunt you down to the death," the leader of the Rudra clan sneered.
The threat of a Level 3 adventurer would send shivers down the spines of most people, but Roy scoffed. Who were they trying to scare? He laughed, "In that case, I should keep you here!"
The brown-skinned man smirked, "You're a Level 1? Can't you show some respect for me, a Level 3?!"
Unable to gain the upper hand with Roy, he turned his gaze to the elven girl. "Lion, do you think you've already won? Did you think we were unprepared?"
Liu's face remained expressionless, but his killing intent grew stronger.
The brown-skinned man grinned, "Use firestone to blast the passage down. I must say, we were thinking of the same thing!"
Liu frowned.
The brown-skinned man said, "Jaruo, let her recall the horror of that monster!"
One of the surviving LV.2 adventurers, the orange-haired cat-man Jallu, stepped forward, his narrow eyes gleaming with an unprecedented excitement. "Lion, aren't you curious about the origins of that monster!"
Liu's face darkened. "What are you trying to say?"
Jalal grinned maliciously, "That day we used a large number of fire stones. Based on my guess, causing large-scale damage to the floor would cause that monster to appear!"
Ryu already knew this from Roy, and their conversation made her feel uneasy.
Jaluo spread his arms wide and shouted, "That's right, we need to summon that monster again!"
They are currently in the speculative stage and have no time to conduct experiments, but in this predicament, they have no choice but to try anything, hoping to summon it if possible.
Roy watched their performance with an indifferent expression.
The elven girl, however, was gripped by a deep-seated fear. She wrapped her arms around her delicate body, her breathing rapid. "Stop! If that guy shows up..."
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Without hesitation, Jaluo lit the fuse. The more than fifty fire stones they had secretly brought in were scattered in different locations. A violent explosion occurred, with bright flames, the walls shattered, and the entire floor trembled.
It's a pity we didn't get the help of the Thanatos Familia, otherwise we could have gotten a few hundred Fire Stones.
Forging weapons requires extremely high-temperature flames. Firestone was originally a fuel used by blacksmiths, and this fuel can be modified into a powerful explosive.
Countless pebbles fell like rain.
Roy manipulated the Immaculate Giant to act as a shield, protecting him and the elven girl from all the falling rocks.
Most of the dungeon monsters, zombies, and Unsullied Giants are buried deep beneath.
But after the roar, nothing happened except turning a large area into ruins.
The four remaining members of the Rudrakara clan looked at each other, the atmosphere so quiet it was almost awkward.
The howling roar did not sound. Ryu gradually recovered and looked at Roy questioningly.
"Zagnat will not be born in the upper levels."
Roy didn't disappoint her, saying, "Zagnat is essentially the wailing of an irreparably destroyed dungeon. Under the divine suppression of the great god Uranus, the upper levels cannot 'wail'."
Roy watched as Jarrow and his gang put on their act and sneered, "Looks like your guess was only half right."
After listening to Roy's explanation, the four members of the Rudrak family understood the birth mechanism of Zagnat.
"You deliberately chose to have the final battle on the tenth floor."
The Jaro has a ferocious appearance. The Zagnat only appears in the middle, lower and deep layers, and will not appear in the upper layers (layers 1-12) near the surface.
"How could I possibly make such a basic mistake when you were tasked with summoning that monster?" Roy lowered his head slightly. If he were wearing glasses like in his previous life, the reflective lenses would make him look every bit the villain.
"Damn it, die!"
Having been outmaneuvered by Roy to this extent, the deputy commander of the clan was filled with resentment and anger, and rushed over like a madman.
The greatsword slashed down fiercely, its gleaming blade reflecting Roy's calm, composed face. It was a full-force attack from a Level 3 adventurer, one that even his Wind Chaser Boots couldn't dodge, but he was confident that this sword wouldn't hit him.
Bang!
A golden figure flashed in front of Roy, using a wooden sword in her hand to block the burly man's slash.
Despite the significant size difference between them, Liu's slender arms seemed to contain boundless power, and no matter how hard the other party tried, they could not budge her body.
Being one level ahead is absolutely crushing!
Even the weakest LV.4 adventurer can easily deal with two or three LV.3 adventurers, let alone Ryu.
As long as Zagnat wasn't around, Ryu remained the decisive and efficient elven warrior, his sky-blue eyes coldly fixed on the captain and vice-captain of the Rudra Familia.
Roy glanced around and saw that the spacious cavern on the tenth floor was in a mess. The explosion of the firestone and the falling debris had cleared out most of the dungeon monsters, zombies, and Unsullied Giants, reducing their numbers by more than half.
Roy had a sudden thought and ordered the remaining Immaculate Giants to hold off the dungeon monsters and zombies.
Finally, his burning gaze fell on the orange-haired cat-man, Jaluo. With his current stats, it seemed he could challenge a Level 2 adventurer.
This is his adventure!
