The Earth After Rebirth

Chapter 392 Unlikely Person, Good Proposal

Chapter 392 Unlikely Person, Good Proposal

The atmosphere had more emotions than when the guild wars were announced. Everybody was here, ready to defend their world to the bitter end. Of course they didn't know all the details but they knew enough.

"I'm just gonna add to what Kiro neglected to highlight, entering this competition there are no guilds, not anymore. You're an individual here, your guild mate doesn't matter since there'll be new teams created for the imminent danger we all face.

"You may end up with people you've never even fought with, you may end up with people you're at odds with just remember this isnt about you, its bigger than you. Leave your quarrelling in the real world.

"How this plays out depends on each and every one of us. If we can't stand together, I don't doubt that it'll be the end of humanity." Hiro added.

Kiro was the first to give him a round of applause. He couldn't believe how far his best friend had come, he was capable of much more when he would leave his comfort zone.

"Well said." Ishaan commended.

As the arena vigorously clapped their hands, two fighters entered the ring. The matchup was totally random. Each and everyone of the guardians were already there, that included Isaac and Ursa.

They still hadn't decided how they would choose priests that were worthy. But they knew the importance of them within a team, no team was complete without a healer.

The fight was underway, the fighters both seemed to be battle mages. Both brandishing short swords.Nôv(el)B\\jnn

"Sorry Aiden, but you'll have to try again next week." Ronald Chase proclaimed, they weren't friends but they were classmates.

He needed to join the ranks immediately. He didn't want to lose to Isaac. Sure the supposed Prince treated them much better than before but he still didn't want any gaps between them.

Aiden was just someone who played the game for fun. He didn't care much about levelling up so naturally he was much weaker. Something he regretted now.

"I may be weak but wouldn't it be more embarrassing if you lost to me?" He spat.

Kiro didn't trust him to address the entire crowd, nobody in that vicinity did. All eyes were on him though, he didn't make himself leader this time but they somehow expected him to be one.

"There's a match going on, could you at least respect that?" Trying his best to keep the bile from climbing out of his throat.

"After the match then?"

"You can say it to us." He finally addressed his question, words seething with venom this time. Whatever he had to say, it couldn't have been good.

Isaac looked like he would argue.

"There's no scenario we're gonna agree for you to address the lot of them, so just do yourself a favour and speak. Don't waste time we already don't have." Felix was on his last nerve.

He sighed, "fine. It's regarding punishments. I'm sure you all know that there will be one or two who rebel and betray. There should be a severe punishment not just threats."

Kiro's eyebrow twitched at the last line which was clearly a jab meant for him. But he couldn't deny that he was right, people needed to know just how serious this all was.

"What did you have in mind, smart guy?"

"Punishment by everyone. It'd be great if the system could have punishment mode, once activated all of us attack a single player and without dying they lose levels." He proposed.

It wasn't exactly a bad idea. It was actually brilliant. But Kiro felt like it was too harsh.

"Taking a page out of your book huh?" Kiro said a little bit smug.

"While it's not a bad idea, it's too harsh." He said dismissively.
