Simon von Alter, once a scholar confined to the library, was reduced to a sinner, his life worthless. The Empire threw him into the Abyss of Flesh and Blood, a place devoid of redemption, only zombies infested with fungi, bloodthirsty beasts, malevolent heretics, and even more terrifying creatures of his own kind.
